Charmon Parker Williams, Ph.D. is the President and Principal Consultant for Parker Williams Consulting. She has a notable track record in Organizational Development, Strategic Planning, Process Facilitation, Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership Assessment and Executive Coaching. Her accomplishments transcend a variety of industries including financial services, professional services, healthcare, consumer goods, utility, manufacturing, education, law enforcement, non-profit, and the public sector.
During her career she has achieved results in a variety of leadership roles including Talent Program Manager for Hewitt Associates (a global HR Outsourcing and Consulting Company). In this role she was responsible for managing programs and processes that supported HR Strategy and Executive Talent Management including talent reviews, key talent retention efforts, succession planning, mentoring programs, coaching, workplace flexibility programs, virtual workforce strategies, talent transition programs, and workforce diversity and inclusion efforts.
Prior to Hewitt, Dr. Williams consulted with industry leaders in both the private and public sector. She was Vice President for the Human Resources Management and Workforce Diversity Consulting Practice at James H. Lowry & Associates. At Harris Trust and Savings Bank, she was a Personnel Officer leading various personnel research efforts and consulting management throughout the Bank on the development and implementation of various talent assessment methods and tools. For the United States Office of Personnel Management, she was a Personnel Psychologist and consulted with state, local, and Native American tribal governments in establishing and operating their human resources functions.
Dr. Williams is a core faculty member in the Business Psychology Department at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and has served as an adjunct for Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and for the University of the Rockies. Additionally, Williams served on the advisory board for the Global Diversity & Inclusion Foundation. Her primary responsibility was Chairperson for the Think Tank and Solutions Driven Institute for this organization.
A published author and speaker on leadership development, career management, and diversity, Dr. Williams has presented at several national conferences and has created a signature workshop and published a book on Personal Branding. She has been a contributing writer for a number of industry related magazines for more than a decade. She has also been cited in the New York Times, Fast Company, The Chicago Sun Times, Today’s Chicago Woman, WGN News, and has collaborated on work published in The Journal of Applied Psychology.
Dr. Williams has a Doctorate of Philosophy and Master of Science in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology from Illinois Institute of Technology, and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Syracuse University.
